Quick answers
How much will I get for my car?
It depends on the car’s weight, its condition and this week’s steel price. Send us your car number and pincode, and we call you with a price. A few photos on WhatsApp help us make it firm.
Is scrapping through you legal?
Yes. Your car goes to a government-registered scrapping facility, which issues the Certificate of Deposit and records the scrapping on VAHAN.
My car is registered in another state.
That’s fine. A registered facility can scrap a car registered anywhere in India.
I’ve lost the RC.
It can usually still be done with a declaration. Tell us on the call and we’ll explain what your case needs.
There’s still a loan on the car.
The loan has to be closed and the bank’s name removed first. Get the NOC from your bank and we take it from there.
Does the owner need to be there at pickup?
The owner, or someone they authorise, hands over the car and the documents. If that’s difficult, tell us and we’ll find a time that suits you.
How long does it take?
Most pickups happen within a few days of agreeing the price, once the papers are in order. You get the Certificate of Deposit when the car is handed over at the facility.
What about the FASTag and insurance?
Remove the FASTag and ask your bank to close it. Tell your insurer, since you may get part of an unused premium back.
