Do I get a certificate for each vehicle?
Yes. Every vehicle gets its own Certificate of Deposit, and its registration is cancelled on VAHAN. You can use each certificate against a new transport vehicle.
What tax concession do I get on a new commercial vehicle?
Up to 15% off motor vehicle tax on a new transport vehicle in Chandigarh and Punjab when you submit a Certificate of Deposit. We confirm the exact terms for your vehicles before you scrap.
The vehicles have permits or are on finance. Is that a problem?
Loans need to be closed and the bank’s name removed first. Tell us about permits on the call and we’ll go through what needs to be surrendered for each vehicle.
